We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we participate every year, the Eastern Maar peoples.
We recognise their continuing connection to land, waterways, culture and community dating back tens of thousands of years.
We pay our respect to their ancestors and to Elders, past, present and emerging. We pay respect to their language and cultural traditions, beliefs and values.
We extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people recognising the importance of reconciliation.
We seek to move forward together with greater knowledge, with inclusion, and respecting a shared history.
A very warm welcome to the home of an event that has consistently been voted "the No. 1 Adventure Race in the South East of Corangamite Shire"*
The jewel in the crown of the Princetown East racing calendar!
*The predicted result of a ballot once mooted by a member of the Kangaroobie Klassic organising committee. There is no doubt this would be the result if a vote was ever held.
The cry was heard across the land,
"Let the Athletic Proletariat unite once a year to celebrate ordinary performances in an extraordinary location!"
And so it was decreed that every March, on the Autumnal Equinox (give or take a few weeks), they would wave their feeble arms in the air, standing proud and united in stretched lycra and collective mediocrity.
A Snapshot of what sets us apart from other events....
Our event has been known to destroy souls and soles alike.
Either way, what better place for a bit of R&R.

Did the Time-Keepers get it wrong?
Did the one of our Emcees cross the PC line?
Did someone steal you place on the podium by taking a shortcut?
No matter your grievance, it will be taken seriously and in confidence.
Our complaints department is located at Kangaroobie Klassic HQ. It is relatively easy to find. Make your way to the only building in the lower paddock (en-route to the aquatic start line) where you will be met at the door by our adjudicator.
Rest assured, they were by far the most qualified of all the applicants.
No Appointments Necessary.
Scandal Rocks the Kangaroobie Klassic!
A throwback to that time when one of the "competitors" made a blatant attempt to bribe our incorruptible adjudicator.
The blur on the person in question is not an intentional attempt to protect their identity.
That, my friends, is a cloud of shame.
